In the early 2000’s hundreds of mixed use buildings erected across the country, as developers seek to stimulate economic growth, and quality of life in dense areas. It can be defined as any piece of building that combines residential, commercial, or other usage in just one building. It allows the community to have easy access to a range of amenities and promotes walkability. It creates a more efficient resource and land use, which is a big plus for residents, commercial developers, leasing agents and tenants.
